One Year Anniversary
....and three days. I was thinking the other day that it had been a year since we posted our first blog. And, well, I was right. So here we are one year later. Still trying to figure out this whole blogging world and really enjoying it. We are also celebrating one year of living in Victoria, Texas. Living in South Texas is certainly different, but very good. I told someone the other day that I am not having culture shock, rather "shopping shock". I have to admit it is not about living in South Texas, but living in a small town. I get giddy when I think about going to Houston. It means eating at really good restaurants and shopping at stores that are four times bigger than the ones in our "quaint" town. What is wonderful about living in Victoria is that we do have everything we really need right here. However, we can drive two hours and be in San Antonio, Houston, Austin, or Corpus and shop and eat. We can drive anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours and be at many different beaches. Yet we don't have to deal with the headache of lots of traffic and city crime. I do have to say other than being so far from grandparents:( we really like it here.
