I'm 30-what? How did that happen?

I recently had a birthday. Emotionally this one was not as bad as when I turned 30. I really felt like my life was over-in a sense. Others of you out their in blog-land may know what I mean. Anyway, the actual celebration of my birthday this year was great, it lasted for about three weeks. My mom and dad came for a visit the weekend before my b-day and we celebrated together. Then the actual weekend of my birthday plans changed a bit due to Brooklin's pneumonia. So, Adam baked a strawberry cake for me and grilled burgers-yummy. Then just this past weekend we actually went to the restaurant and beach as we had originally planned. The restaurant is one we ate at last year for my birthday. It is very eclectic, eccentric and expensive, but a really wonderful dining experience. Afterward we went to the beach. There was a fair just down a little ways from where we were. The evening at the beach was very picturesque. The sky was dark, the ocean waves were lapping on the beach, and down a little ways we could see the brilliant lights of the Ferris wheel and other fun rides. (Someday I will have a camera that will capture the photos as they really look to my eye, but for now, enjoy my favorite picture of the Ferris wheel). The kids had so much fun playing on the beach in the dark. And I have to say the picture of my husband, makes me weak in the knees.
