Hello, anybody there? Part II

After leaving Fort Davis, my mom and dad picked myself and the kids up to take us back to Levelland for a week. Adam headed back to Victoria to get some work done before joining us for the weekend. We had a great time, even though it was the week of my older brother's wedding. Yes, my older brother is now married to a wonderful woman. In between last minute wedding details we managed to have some fun. On Tuesday we drove to Lubbock and enjoyed painting pottery at the Mud Room. I love painting, it is like therapy. We enjoyed eating at an old favorite, Buns Over Texas-yummy. Then we shopped until we dropped. I got all of the kids school shopping done with my mom's help. We know how to have fun. The kids did great all day. Then on Thursday I was able to catch up with my good friend A. and the kids. We took the kids to the children's museum and had a very funny moment. Jack had run ahead of us into the toddler room. At the very back was a water play area. From across the way I could see Jack with his shorts down to his ankles. Oh no-now it was his underwear and by the time I reached him he was sitting on the ground trying to take his shoes and shorts off. My initial thought was that he was going to go potty but he just wanted to swim. It was hard to explain to him how it worked but once he started playing (with his clothes on) he loved it. There was a group of mom's sitting around that witnessed this and they looked totally disgusted. Ladies, just wait, your turn is coming!!!

One thing I miss about living in West Texas are the thunderstorms in the afternoon during the summer. I thought the sky was so ominous and beautiful at the same time.

I must sign off but I will post later about the wedding, it deserves its own post!!
