Thanksgiving 2010
Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of year to slow down and take time to think of all the things we are thankful for. I have to admit as a pre-school teacher I have heard something "interesting" things that the children have said they are thankful for. But I have also heard some genuinely sweet answers. I have so many things to thank God for, for my family, church and my job. One thing I am very thankful for are great friends. Being that we stayed home for Thanksgiving this year we invited our friends from Victoria and also Shawn and Dora and their new baby Justen to enjoy lunch together. We had a blast and Jack loved reconnecting with his good friend Ean from our old church. In fact, when I went to take pictures of them before they left I got the two shots on the right top and the one under. It looks like they are broken up about parting but they poked each others eye. Thankfulness is something that is not just in us, it must be cultivated. Take a few minutes and just think of one or two things you are thankful for right now. Happy Thanksgiving!
