Brooklin

***Update-It looks like the doors for Corpus have closed so I know God knows what is next for us. Please pray for Brooklin on Monday morning as we return to our allergy/asthma doctor here in Victoria at 10:30 a.m. Please pray that I will be able to clearly communicate my concerns and that the Doctor will have supernatural wisdom to be able to treat Brooklin. Thank you so much!!***

I am blogging about Brooklin today. She is our awesome eight year old. I would like to ask that you please pray for her. She was diagnosed with Asthma almost two years ago and we have had quite a bumpy ride. As Christians who totally believe God can heal and that He still does miracles we have been praying for that over Brooklin continually. However, we know that we live in a natural and fallen world. We do believe in doctors and medicine also. She has had two rounds of pneumonia in the same lung and we have also caught it twice before it became pneumonia. She is battling hard again in her physical body and has been since September 29th. She is on her third round of oral steroids in addition to her preventative meds (two of them she takes once a day and one of them she takes twice a day). She is also taking breathing treatments and she just finished a round of antibiotics. And then last night she came into the kitchen and pulled her lower lip down and asked what was on it. Yeast, she now has a yeast infection in her mouth and throat and it is very painful. She had one of these back in April when she was very sick then. So after calling the doctor this morning, she will be prescribed a prescription mouth wash but I know her stomach hurts too from all of the medicine. I am so proud of her because even in the midst of all of this she does not complain about hurting. The only thing that makes her cry is when I tell her she has to do her breathing treatments (three-to four times day). She'll cry a little and say, "This wastes my time". My heart goes out to her. We have been doing everything we know to do in both the physical and spiritual. I know we must continue on this path of believing for her healing and also seeking what measures of medical means she needs. On that note we are trying to get her in to an Allergy and Asthma clinic in Corpus Christi, with a pediatric asthma doctor. The one here is okay but services all of Victoria (60,000 plus residents) but we feel she needs more specialized care rto really help her. Please be praying for this endeavor and for some real answers. Please do pray for her complete healing as well. Thank you from all of us!!
