Old then new
When I was younger I can remember my mom making crayon disks out of old broken crayons and the beauty of all of the colors together. One morning I had a few minutes and wanted to do something fun with the kids and I had a baggie full of broken crayons saved for such a project. I pulled out a muffin tin, paper muffin liners, and the colorful crayons. I called the kids over and we went to work creating!! I took these photos of before and after. I love the beautiful rich colors. How To: Put them in an oven set on about 200 degrees and watch until they melt and run together a bit. You can add glitter to them before you put them in. Let them cool completely and then peel away the paper. Great as gifts or party favors. And just another helpful tip: To quickly remove the crayon wrapper quickly, I took a razor blade and sliced the paper down the side and then pulled it off. A PARENT JOB ONLY!!
