So much to be thankful for

Thanksgiving was so great this year. We had originally planned to spend a quiet Holiday at home, however plans changed. My cousin is going to be sent to Kuwait next October and he requested that his Dad's side of the family get together for Thanksgiving. We decided on the Fort Worth area due to it's convenient location for everyone and so off we headed at 4:30a.m. Thanksgiving morning. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch with more food than 22 people could eat in one meal! We laughed, talked, took photos, and thanked God amidst it all. The way things worked out, everyone but Adam and I and the kids left later in the afternoon so we got to hang out with my older brother and his new wife. I really enjoyed getting to spend time with them and getting to know my sister-in-law better. We enjoyed a leisurely drive home on Friday with a stop at the Fort Worth Stock Yard. We walked around and enjoyed the Christmas sights. We ate at a yummy restaurant but not before we let the kids have dessert before lunch! As we walked down the road we noticed a petting zoo and little ponies. The girls rode the ponies and Jack got nibbled by a baby goat at which he was not amused at all! At one point I noticed a man dressed up like an Indian standing next to a horse. I pondered what a great photo op this was and snapped a picture, however he was turned away from the camera. Just as I was about to snap another, I hear him addressing the crowd and saying photos are $5.00
(and that is with your own camera!). I put my camera back down and did not take his photo, but smiled to myself that I got at least a $2.50 photo for free.
We had so much fun and listened to Christmas music on the rest of the ride home! We are so thankful for so many things. A blog could not contain what is in our hearts. But let's not forget how thankful we are as Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is just around the corner. May God bless you all!!
