Good News about Brooklin
I have posted a picture of the meds Brooklin was taking mid-December. Seven of them to be exact and that doesn't even include her breathing treatments. We had an ER visit on the night of December 15th. For six hours straight she coughed. Amazingly enough she did not cough during her song at the Christmas Musical for school that night. But with every breath she was coughing. We finally said enough is enough and took her in around 10:45 p.m. After a chest x-ray (that was clear), they decided the same thing her doctor had decided earlier in the day-a sinus infection. She was given a strong cough medicine and a special breathing treatment and we finally crawled into bed around 1:30 a.m. She finally improved some and was better over Christmas break. But she had a slight set-back and we went to her allergy doctor on January 2nd. A sinus x-ray was ordered and we had a follow-up appointment this past week. We started praying even harder for her healing and for a good report. She began to improve quite a bit. Here is the good news: At the follow-up appointment we found out that her sinus x-ray was good, that she did not need to be seen again for six months!!! and that she can cut her Advair back to once a day and very soon go completely off of it. I cannot tell you how exciting that was to hear. Thank you all for praying for her. Please continue because I know the devil wants to bring fear on us that her complete healing won't happen. But we all know better than that. God is faithful.
