It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

The Christmas tree went up two weeks ago and December is in full swing. The first weekend has been very busy, but full of tons of fun. It began at 5:30 a.m. on Friday, December 4th. Following the awakening of my alarm, I could hear sounds of sleet tapping on the window. Could it be that the forecaster was right after all, might we see snow in Victoria, Texas? Well, we did! I cannot tell you the excitement. The day only got better after I received a phone call that I did not have to go into work and that the kids would be coming home from school at noon!! Truly a magical moment!

It's a South texas snow drift!

At 4:00 p.m. Friday another very magical event happened. A Christmas Train came through for a few hours. The snow had subsided and the crowd was thick. We decided to just walk alongside the train and snap a few pictures. Even at that we had a wonderful time.

Then on Saturday, our church hosted its second annual ladies brunch, Holidazzle. Another fun time was had by all. My best friend, M. was there along with my two daughters. The tables dazzled as did our hearts as we ended the event!

The girls were in the fashion show. They were beautiful and did a fabulous job!

What a wonderful first weekend of December. God is good.
