Okay, so we didn't win big..

Have you ever received a letter stating "You have won..."? I am sure you all have. We received one that seemed more legitimate than others, so I called. The lady I spoke with assured me we had won a prize and that we had a shot at one of four other great prizes. All they needed from us was 90 minutes of our time. Knowing we had nothing to lose, we made an appointment at the Hill Country Resort in Canyon Lake, Texas. They encouraged us to bring the kids as there were many fun activities for all of us to participate in. So, Saturday morning at 8:45 a.m. we loaded up and headed out. I do have to say, on Thursday evening Adam told the girls that if we won the big $40,000 prize he would give each of the girls a one hundred dollar bill. You can only imagine their sheer excitement. On Saturday morning I attempted to ask the girls to have a good attitude even if we didn't win the money. Please don't think we were totally gullible enough to think we would actually win, but stranger things have happened, so... I will spare you all of the details of our time there. Once we were done with the sales pitch for a timeshare (which we totally knew was coming) we headed over to claim our guaranteed portable DVD player and a scratch off card. Bottom line - we won a free stay at a hotel in one of five exotic locations. We only need to pay for everything except the hotel. As we got in the van-I snapped a picture of our very disappointed girls. And then I took a picture of Hannah "comfortably" watching the new DVD player on the way home. Once we arrived home Brooklin claimed she had had the worst day of her life. As we tucked her in she had the saddest look on her face and we asked what was wrong? She said, "I didn't have fun today."
