February 2010

At the beginning of February I attended a teacher conference in Galveston. I enjoyed my time away and the kids and Adam had a great time as well. They went to San Antonio and enjoyed the day and ate at LuLu's as featured on the Food Network Channel. They make cinnamon rolls that weigh three pounds. Funny how I seemed to have gained 10 pounds by eating only about 3/4 of a pound of that thing. (Must have been all of the butter I used).

Our school had an Art Festival from 1st-8th grades. My two daughters just love this type of thing and here are their works of art.

Valentine's Day parties and I was not going to let anyone in Jack's class outdo us this year. Although I always really try hard to let my kids do their own thing, I did help Jack a bit. I loved his box this year and yes, he is holding an i-phone in his hand! When we got to school that day, his teacher informed me that they were not having a contest this year-but I think it is because all of the other parents were afraid of the competition!

S'mores Easy & Delicious Recipe:
One box golden graham cereal
One bag of choco chips
Small marshmallows
First lay the cereal out in an even layer on a large cookie sheet.
Next sprinkle marshmallows all around.
Then melt and stir choco chips in microwave (children let a parent help you).
Drizzle over cereal.
Lastly, eat it all up or store in an airtight container.
