Main Verse: Isaiah 43:19 "Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." NKJV
Main Thought: A Fresh Start
Message:
2014. I am still not used to writing this. It is a new year. When I was younger I was a bit OCD on the new calendar, paper, pens, goals, new devotional book etc. I am not saying there is anything wrong with entering a new year organized and prepared, but I would go at it with such zeal it was impossible to keep it up for long. So, I try to be more realistic as well as organized. I like to reflect back on the previous year and set goals for the new. I research a new Bible reading plan and organize/update my prayer journal. I allow the Holy Spirit to lead me. I remember that even though it is the beginning of a new year, it is the continuation of my walk with the Lord. Although new year does provide an opportunity to refocus. I am so thankful for all that the Lord has done in 2013 and I am looking forward to all that He has for 2014. ** Next week I am excited to announce I will be having a give-away so stay tuned for all the details. I would love to hear what Bible studies, Bible reading plans, planners, etc that you use, or anything you would like to share about how you prepare for the new year. Comment below, private message me on Facebook, or email me at tharrisphoto@gmail.com.
Here's to a fresh start,
Tiffany
**I had already typed and scheduled this post when I read the most amazing post on Ann Voskamp's blog AHolyExperience.com. I was in awe of the eloquence with which she spoke about memorizing God's Word and the power of doing so. And the beautiful memory verse cards-a free downlaod. I hope this helps you in holding God's Word very close to your heart in your everyday life.
