Motivation Monday for Moms {Valentine's Inspiration}

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I thought I would share a few ideas to inspire you as you plan to share some L-O-V-E with family and friends.

I know there are several sights that could provide much more inspiration than I.  However, I was alive and functioning B.P. (Before Pinterest), and mine are just simple and I don't have any links to share.  I do hope you find this information helpful.

Since we live so far away from family, I took this picture (back in 2008, when I was  just becoming really interested in photography).  I simply cut the words and heart out of poster board and we basically had an instant card.

                                                           Valentine's Day Scones

Pink (hard to tell) heart shaped pancakes for breakfast.  Could be served with strawberries and cool whip).

Homemade cupcakes with homemade chocolate heart topper. Simply melt some chocolate chips and drizzle them onto wax paper in the shape of a heart.  Let them set before peeling them up and placing them on a cupcake or cake.

I really enjoy decorating our house for Valentine's Day.

Yummy brownies cut with a heart-shaped cookie cutter, served with some ice cream.

These little felt hearts took maybe 30 minutes and they are perfect for tucking in a backpack, lunchbox, or drawer.  Maybe even under a pillow.

These were  Brooklin's Valentine's one year.  It was a bit of work, but something fun and the teacher ended up having the entire class take a picture with them.

And this is simply Valentine Awesomeness!  He was to dress up 50's style for some reason and oh how he makes me swoon.  Still one of my favorite pictures of him.

 Something I did  last year was that I made a Jar of  Love for my husband.  I took a mason jar and tied a ribbon around it and glued a heart on the front that says, "Jar of Love". I then typed up all kinds of little sayings of love, printed them out, cut them into small strips and tucked them in pockets, and drawers.  Each time he found one he put it in his jar.  Now that jar sits next to his sink in the bathroom.  I also sent a Love Package to my niece and nephew for Valentine's and they enjoyed all of the things that we had taken time to create and purchase to share some love with them.
 Showering others with love does not have to be expensive.  But allow yourself a bit of time this week to put some thought and action into it. You will be glad you did and so will they.

Happy Love Crafting,
Tiffany
