California

My wonderful husband took me to California in celebration of our twelfth anniversary. We were there from June 16-19. We couldn't have planned a better trip. From beginning to end it was absolutely amazing. We stayed in San Clemente with some friends (thank you) the first night and then in a hotel in Laguna Beach the next two. We visited a few different beaches, ate at some wonderful restaurants, shopped at a few stores. We relaxed and just thoroughly enjoyed each other. It is so easy to get caught up in the busyness of work, church, kids, things, that just having quiet, uninterrupted time is the exception and not the rule. We had wanted to plan a trip for our tenth anniversary but got to move to Victoria instead. So as our dozen year anniversary was coming up Adam started talking about a trip. We wanted to go somewhere we had never been before and we looked at Florida and Cali. We are both so glad that we chose California. I was so impressed with the family atmosphere. It was nothing that I envisioned it would be, it was so much better. The climate was wonderful and the ocean, oh the ocean. We both had a good laugh about "our beach" back home. But when you consider that we both grew up and lived in West Texas and New Mexico any beach is better than none-right? But now that we have experienced a new and better beach with better ocean, what we have palls in comparison. I likened it to our walk with God. How willing we are to just settle. Something is better than nothing. But to really experience all that God has for us is what God Himself wants for us. Anyway, 12 wonderful years down and many more to go. I love Adam more than ever. Many moves, cars, kids, lots of happy times and a few sad and hard ones we are going stronger than ever. I tell him all of the time that if I had to do it over again, I would marry him every time!!! He is God's tangible grace in my life. You and no other baby!!! Now comes the hard part, what pictures do I post, I took four hundred. We have posted them on flickr. Here are a few, enjoy.

P.S. I almost forgot to mention the wonderful thing that Adam did. When we rented our car he rented a GPS!!! We called her Cali. One of the best things we did on the entire trip!!! Okay, not that great but it sure saved us time and money!!
