Getting Ready
The summer of 2010 was a life-changing summer for us. What we had been dreaming of and praying for as a couple and then as a family for almost two years was finally becoming a reality. And in what seemed like super speed time. Here is part of our story. As Adam and I were feeling God stirring in our hearts about pastoring we were praying and listening intently at His voice. We began planning our church plant. We had the backing of a church plant organization, a town we felt God calling us to, many conversations with family and trusted friends and a peace to move forward. In mid June God moved in an amazing way and we connected with an awesome church out of Corpus. They contacted us about planting a churh in Rockport, Texas. Exactly where we felt God leading us. We had gone as far as securing a building to meet in and interestingly enough they were looking at the same building. As we talked, prayed and talked more, we felt this was definitley a God thing, and we were full speed ahead. We had already been trying to sell our home in Victoria so we could move to Rockport. We were asking God for a miracle and trusting in His timing as school was right around the corner and opening Sunday was too. We began meeting in mid July as Bay Area Fellowship Rockport (the seventh multi-site of Bay Area Fellowship of Corpus Christi to open). We hit the entire Rockport/Fulton/Ingleside/Aransas Pass area with a mailer to let them know a church was coming and we had a great response. We saw God's hand in detail after detail. Trust me when I say there is more to this story, this was just the beginning.
