Motivation Monday for Moms {He Gently Leads}

Monday is about half over but I wanted to post my motivation for today!

Main Verse: Isaiah  40:11 "He tends His flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart; He gently leads those that have young."

Main Thought: He gentle leads...

Message:
Are you about to be a mom for the first time?  Maybe you have a baby or toddler, or several.  It could be that you are in the middle of pre-teens and teens.  Every stage has it's positives and challenges.  I remember someone telling me as a new mom, "The days are long but the years short."  At the time I smiled politely and nodded and now I stand in the middle of that truth!  There are times as parents we feel so overwhelmed-the kids won't share toys but share germs, there are questions, questions, and more questions.  There is potty training, and constant character training.  As they get older there is a whole new set of challenges and good things as well.
But there were also those magical times, when they were younger, of the wonder of learning-everything!!  Words, colors, numbers, feelings.  There was sweet, pure love, funny sayings, and lots of hugs and kisses.  Innocence. Child-like faith.  There is nothing else quite like the young toddler stage.  These younger years are the formative years.  So much is learned in the first few years of life. We know the teaching and training doesn't stop just because our kids are older. They are still impressionable and whether they act like it or not, your direction in their lives is so important and appreciated. One verse I clung to as a young mom and even now, is Isaiah 40:11.  As a parent there is so much we can find imperfect about our parenting, but Jesus Himself is not wagging His finger at us saying' "You could've, should've..."  He gently leads those that have young (or older).  He is our guide.   Don't let regret get the best of you if you find yourself feeling guilty.  Start right now, right where you are.  Allow Him to lead you  as you are raising the precious children that have been entrusted to you. Remember, HE is gently leading.
