How many times have we prayed to have it and then been given an opportunity to demonstrate it? I love when people are patient with me, however I find myself not being so liberal with it at times!!! I think with knowing summer is soon coming to an end (sigh) that I am finding myself a bit distracted with various things and running low on patience these last few days. I honestly love the summer, love no routine (at least for a bit) and I love having my kids home. A few days ago I began to recognize that my patience tank was running very low. We went on an after-dark walk as a family last night and I had to remind one member of our family of various things not to do the entire walk. I felt very frustrated and worn out. As we were almost done I couldn't help but think of my loving, ever-patient Heavenly Father who must remind me too many times of things I need to be doing or need to stop doing. He does it gently, lovingly, patiently. Wow! I was convicted. We all pretty much know we should have the fruit of the Spirit, which includes patience. However, when I read the verse in 2 Peter I was so blessed by it. I love to think that the Lord is patient with me and I certainly needed that reminder last night. I pray that each of you reading this will find yourself encouraged and ready to face and handle with patience anything set before you today.
Many blessings and lots of patience,
Tiffany
