Motivation Monday for Moms

I have been MIA for about the last week due to a trip out of town.  We enjoyed a much needed get away and we are refreshed and ready for more busy-ness.  I am back and wanted to start sharing an encouraging word for you busy mom's each Monday.  Take a minute to read and recharge today.

Main verse: Matthew 4:4 "Jesus answered, 'It is written: Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

Main thought: Our relationship with the Lord is VITAL.

Message:
Do you remember life pre-children?  I'm sure if we thought long and hard we might!  Something I do remember about that time in my life was all of the long, uninterrupted times of prayer and Bible reading.  I also remember a slower pace of life.  Three kids later and I understand more than ever just how vital my relationship is with the Lord. When I first became a mother I had to learn how to take God out of the box and just learn to pray as I changed diapers, kissed boo-boo's, did laundry, and cooked dinner. The God of the Universe wasn't someone to be written down and then checked off my to-do list.  He is my ever present Companion in this busy life.  And let's face it-when we spend time all through out the day meditating on a verse, or just talking to the Lord, it shows!  I find I am more loving and patient.  Not only do I benefit from my relationship with Christ, my family does as well.  Take a moment and consider how your relationship with the Lord is.  Start tight where you are, no guilt, no regrets.  He is right there beside you.  Your relationship with Christ is one of the most important one in your life so don't let the hectic pace, laundry, dishes, or diapers keep you from your very source of help and hope.

Happy Monday!!

Tiffany
