Motivation Monday for Moms {That's not fair...}

Main Verse: Philippians 2:3 "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.  Rather, in humility value others above yourself."

Main Thought: That's not fair!

Message:
"That's not fair!", I hear my youngest say to one of his sisters.  Then I hear my husband's reply, "We don't do fair." Let me explain.  Sometime back, as he and I both grew weary from hearing that over-used phrase, my wonderfully wise husband said, "It's not that it's not fair-it's just not your way." Wow and Ouch!! That pricked my own heart. I have caught myself looking at various situations, other people, and even situations in my own life and thought, "That's not fair!"  If I am really honest about it I see that it's just not MY way.  Complete selfishness.  The Bible says, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.  Rather in humility value others above yourselves,".  That is a powerful verse to live by. Once my husband addressed the heart issue we stopped hearing that phrase.  I think the sooner we understand that, the better off (and less selfish) we will live.
