Main Verses: Exodus 1:1-22 through 2:1-10
Main Thought: Trusting God
Message:
Today is the day. You get up early, get the kids ready for school, send them on the bus or drop them off for another school year. Some of us are doing this for the very first time, others realize we only have a few more "first day of school" days left. We want our children to be safe, to be kind, for others to be kind to them, etc. So many thoughts and emotions. When Adam and I had two young daughters and we were still living in Albuquerque, NM I joined a Bible Study for young mom's. Those are times I treasure very much. I learned from God's Word and also from other mom's who were a few steps ahead in this journey. One particular day we were studying about Jochebed and the way she had to trust God as she let her little boy go down the river that day. I will never forget how I felt the Holy Spirit helped me to apply that to sending my own children out into the world. I prepare them (Jochebed prepared a tar and pitch basket) and then I must trust God to take them to where and who they need to go to. I pray all summer long that my children will be assigned to just the right teachers and that just the right kids will be placed in their classes. I trust that God will have Godly teachers and adults in their lives at just the right time. I said it last week and we all know this, we cannot be with each child 24/7, but our Heavenly Father and His angels are always with our children. Do your best at all times to be preparing and equipping your children to be in but not of this world and then trust God to lead, guide, direct, and protect! He is capable and look what came of Moses, he was a great leader, not perfect, but God had great plans for him, just as he does for your kiddos. I am praying for teachers, students, and parents tomorrow.
Have a GREAT "first day of school",
Tiffany
