Motivation Monday for Moms {Faith, Hope, Trust}

Main Verse: Hebrews 10:23, " Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." ESV

Main Thought: Faith, Hope, Trust

Message:
It's the most wonderful time of the year..........I realize at the very moment that may be true for some and not so true for others.  However, if we are a Christian, every day is the most wonderful because Jesus was born of a virgin and He is the Son of God and we have hope.  It may not feel like it every moment, but that doesn't mean it's not true! We must stop and refocus sometimes.  This post may seem a little all over the place, but I knew exactly what the post was to be about a few nights ago with something Jack said as he was going to sleep.  I had just finished reading to him and he was falling asleep when Adam walked in and prayed for him and then told him, "Goodnight Jack, thanks for being an awesome son."  Jack did not even move but responded, "I was born to be awesome dad, goodnight."  I have smiled to myself and teared up every time I have thought about that. Would that each of us would simply realize that we are "born to be awesome".  God created and fashioned us in our mother's womb, we are destined for awesomeness!!
So too was Mary's Son, Jesus.  The most awesome of all.  She knew it well before His birth.  Most mothers feel their child is already awesome before they arrive.  But when you know that God's hand is on your child in a most holy way....there are just no words.  As I thought about what Jack said I remembered it was at Thanksgiving 9 years ago that we found out we were pregnant with him.  The absolute joy and terror that followed were intense.  But the faith I had in my heart was stronger. We had prayed for a child after a miscarriage in 2003. I held onto the verse from Hebrews 10:23 and others because we knew God was in control and I knew the baby inside of me was destined for greatness and would live and not die as there was some concern in the beginning.  As we celebrated Christmas in 2004 I couldn't help but think of Mary and how she felt and what was going through her mind.  She had trusted the message from the angel, she had faith in God to carry her through an unusual pregnancy, and she was carrying the Hope of the world.  A great reminder to us in whatever difficult situation we may find ourselves in.  God can be trusted, we must not loose Hope and continue strong in our faith that He Who promised IS faithful. You were born to be awesome, don't believe anything else!

Merry Christmas,
Tiffany
