Eight is GREAT!!

Yes, Brooklin is 8 now!! I think she had a very nice birthday. Nana Cate came Monday night to help celebrate. So we had Nana with and ate donuts Tuesday morning. Then Adam, Jack and I ate lunch with her at school. Adam got her good at lunch-he had everyone stand and do the Chicken Dance in honor of her birthday!! Then after school we played and opened some presents. She wanted to eat Sonic but she did not want any of the wrappers from Sonic on the table. So we had Sonic by candlelight and on the fine china. (REALLY!) I never knew Sonic could be so fancy!! She loved it. We opened more presents and then we started preparing for Ike. I have to admit I became very distracted when Adam came home and said they were to report to work on Thursday to board up the church. I tried to stay focused and begin quietly planning ahead. We did tell the girls but it was very positive. God is with us and stuff is just that-STUFF!!! Happy Birthday-it will be memorable for sure!!
